Born and raised in Raleigh, Christina knew early on that the beauty industry was where she belonged. What started as a childhood obsession with hair, makeup, and creating “salon days” at home quickly turned into a clear career path. By the time most teenagers were still figuring out their next move, Christina had already graduated high school early and enrolled in cosmetology school to get a head start on her future.
During that time, she dreamed of opening a salon alongside her dad — a vision rooted in independence, creativity, and building something meaningful. When she lost her dad halfway through cosmetology school, that dream didn’t fade. It became fuel.
After gaining experience in multiple salons, Christina opened her first one-chair studio in 2015. Over the next several years, she intentionally refined her craft, leadership style, and vision — learning through growth, challenges, and plenty of trial and error. In 2018, she expanded Pinup Studio into a 10-chair salon, transforming a former barbershop into a bold, modern space that reflected her aesthetic and values. (The former owner, Randy, is still a stylist at Pinup Studio — and yes, now proudly loves pink.)
In 2024, Pinup Studio expanded once again — this time into a 16-chair salon with a dedicated bridal suite. This growth allowed the brand to elevate both its in-salon experience and its bridal services while staying true to the culture it was built on.
Today, Pinup Studio is a fully staffed, education-driven salon with an in-house team and a thriving bridal department. Known for elevated services, inclusive values, and an experience that feels just as good as the results look, Pinup Studio is rooted in the belief that great hair should fit real life. What began as a one-chair dream has grown into a collaborative, empowering space led by a team committed to excellence, growth, and creating a place where everyone feels welcome.
Cancellations and reschedules are accepted 48 hours before the scheduled service. Because our services are reserved especially for you, canceling or rescheduling an appointment within 48 hours will result in a charge of 25% of the scheduled services. Appointments canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the service time will result in a 50% cancellation fee. This policy is set in place to protect our stylists, as last minute cancellations and reschedules can directly affect the income of the stylist. This fee is required to be settled prior to booking your next appointment.
We pride ourselves on providing service to all of our clients in a timely and professional manner. Your promptness is greatly appreciated and required to properly serve you. As a courtesy to other clients, we can only conduct your session within your scheduled appointment. If you are over 15 minutes late, we may have to reschedule or not be able to perform the entirety of the services you had desired to receive that day. 100% of the scheduled services will still be charged.
If Pinup Studio is not notified that you are unable to make your appointment and you do not come in for your scheduled service, you will be charged 100% of the scheduled service. This policy is set in place to protect our stylists, as this directly affects the income of the stylist. After missing two consecutive appointments without notification, we regret to inform you that future bookings with us will not be allowed.
We understand you may change your mind about the service you receive during your appointment. We kindly ask that you notify the salon 24 hours before your appointment if the service you are wanting to receive changes. This policy is set in place to protect our stylists, as last-minute changes can directly affect the income of the stylist. Any significant service changes after 24 hours will be charged the original service scheduled.
At Pinup Studio, the safety and comfort of our guests and stylists is our top priorities. Due to the potential hazards present in a salon environment, we kindly request children under the age of 10 do not accompany you to your appointment, with the exception of breast-feeding mothers. If childcare cannot be arranged, we ask that these guests kindly reschedule their appointments to a time that better suits both them and their stylist. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at Pinup!
We do not offer refund on hair services. In the event you do not love your hair, we offer Adjustments, free of charge, within 7 days of your appointment. A full bow dry and style is not included in Adjustments and will be charged accordingly, if you wish to receive one. Adjustments require acceptance from management. We encourage clients to maintain consistency with their original stylist for optimal service and rapport. We understand that personal dynamics can vary and we will accommodate this on a case-by-case basis.
If you find yourself dissatisfied with a product, we will accept the bottle back that remains 75% full. We are pleased to offer a refund in the form of salon credit. You will receive 80% of the total amount paid. The salon credit can only be applied towards the purchase of another product within the salon. Product credits cannot be used towards services within the salon.

Consultations are required for new extension services. We recommend scheduling a consultation for color services or major style changes as well. Consultations help our stylists understand your goals and ensure you leave with a look that’s perfectly tailored to you. You can book a consultation for any service you choose.
